FAYETTEVILLE, AR (09.22.18) - Among 51 women's teams and 49 men's programs, the UT Dallas men's and women's cross country teams return to action at the 30th Annual Chile Pepper Festival, hosted by the University of Arkansas.

The Comet men finished in 36th place while the women's squad placed 45th among a field of four-year programs from all NCAA divisions and NAIA as well as junior colleges.
For the men,
Cannon Leavitt led the Comets with a 111th place finish among the 441 runners, with a time of 26:34 in the eight-kilometer race.
Trent Sakakini placed 219th at 27:56,
Christian Kondor 266th at 28:32,
Andres Uriegas 313th at 29:17 and
Blake Stroud was 316th at 29:21.
Hollee Ratliff led the UTD women, with a 244th place finish among the 424 competitors. Ratliff recorded a time of 21:00 in the five-kilometer course.
Sara Hartke placed 293rd at 21:33,
Katherine Merola 313th at 21:47,
Gina Fossati 345th at 22:29 and
Genna Campain 349th at 22:43.
The Comets will next compete on Friday, Sept. 28, when both teams run at Red River Shootout, hosted by Midwestern State in Wichita Falls.
