WICHITA FALLS, TX (09.05.19) - The UT Dallas men's and women's cross country teams competed in their second meet of the fall Thursday night as the Comets ran at the Endurance House/MSU Cross Country Stampede, hosted by Midwestern State.
The Comet men finished in second place among the four-team field while the UTD women placed fourth among the five women's squads.

Freshman
Joseph Kirby paced the Comet men with a sixth place finish with a time of 29:10 in the eight-kilometer men's race.
John Gabriel placed 10th at 29:45 while
Trent Sakakini was 11th at 30:17.
Griffin Davis finished 12th at 30:18 while
Joel Guzman was 18th at 31:55.
Cameron claimed team honors with 15 points, placing the top five runners in the 42-runner field. UTD tallied 57 points while Science & Arts (OK) was third with 81 points.
For the women, freshman
Elizabeth Chimitt placed sixth with a time of 21:45 in the five-kilometer competition.
Rachel Kahler was 20th at 23:07,
Gina Fossati was 22nd at 23:47,
Brittany Parga 23rd at 23:48 and
Rebecca Spiegel 29th at 24:41.
Host Midwestern State claimed the women's team championship with 32 points, ahead of second-place Southeastern Oklahoma (47). Cameron was third with 78 points while the Comets finished with 100 points.
Both UTD squads will return to action next Saturday, Sept. 14, when the Comets host the first-ever home cross country meet in program history. The UTD Cross Country Invitational will start at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, at the Practice Tee, just north of the UTD campus.
