Rana Hussein scored twice as the UT Dallas women's soccer team remained perfect on the young season with a 4-0 win over Huntingdon, on the campus of Birmingham-Southern College.
The Comets improved to 4-0 with Saturday's win, logging their second shutout in four contests this fall. Hussein scored in the 24th minute to lift UTD to a 1-0 lead and added her second goal of the contest in the 55th minute to help build on the Comet lead.
Rain Lybbert and
Morganne Darling each added late goals to complete the scoring. Lybbert's tally came in the 82nd minute while Darling's goal came with 47 seconds left on the clock.
UTD finished with just nine shots in the 90 minutes, taking only five shots on frame in the contest. The Comet defense limited Huntingdon to just five shots in the game, three of which were on goal.Â
The Comets return home next weekend for a pair of games the UTD Soccer Field. UTD will host Edgewood at 7 p.m. Friday and then Pfeiffer at 7 p.m. Sunday.
