CLARKSVILLE, AR (10.30.21) - The UT Dallas men's cross country team placed five runners among the top 15 finishers to earn a second place team finish at the ASC Championships, hosted by the University of the Ozarks Saturday morning.

UTD VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS
The three-time defending conference champion Comets finished the race with 45 points, 11 behind first-time champion LeTourneau (34). UTD matched a program record with five Comets earning All-ASC honors at the meet.
Trent Sakakini was the Comets' top finisher in fourth place with a time of 26:10.6 in the eight-kilometer race.
Griffin Davis finished fifth at 26:12.0. Both Sakakini and Davis collected first team All-ASC honors.
Devan Bailey placed 10th at 26:51.3,
Andres Uriegas 12th at 26:59.2 and
Ethan Conville 14th at 27:09.4. All three Comets were honored as second team All-ASC.
After LETU and UTD, McMurry finished a distant third place in the team standings at 90 points with Hardin-Simmons (129) fourth, Concordia Texas (130) fifth, East Texas Baptist (141) sixth, host Ozarks (186) seventh, Mary Hardin-Baylor (250) eighth and Sul Ross State (252) ninth.
The Comets have now finished among the two teams at the ASC Championships each of the past six seasons.
