CLAREMONT, CA (11.13.21) - The season for the UT Dallas men's and women's cross country teams came to a close Saturday morning with the Comets competing at the NCAA D-III Region X Championships, hosted by Occidental College.
The Comet men wrapped the fall by recording their best-ever finish at the regional championship, placing 13th in the field of 24 squads in the meet. The UTD women sent just three runners and did not qualify for the team standings.
Griffin Davis paced the Comet men with an eight-kilometer time of 26:18.8 to finish in 39th place among the 170 runners in the regional field.

Andres Uriegas 79th at 27:12.2,
Devan Bailey 94th at 27:32.6,
Ethan Conville 105th at 27:45.6,
Jayden Chambless 129th at 28:25.8 and
Nathaniel Brim 155th at 30:20.7.
For the women,
Madylin Herrera was the top Comet in the six-kilometer race, placing 76th with a time of 24:35.1.
Hannah Bennett placed 106th at 25:29.6 and
Maddie Ellis 126th at 26:34.8.
