RICHARDSON, TX (09.15.21) - For the first time in program history, the UT Dallas men's cross country program is regionally ranked as the USTFCCCA announced its first cross country regional rankings of 2021 on Tuesday. The Comets are the only squad from the ASC to be regionally ranked this week.

FULL REGIONAL RANKINGS

Now ranked No. 8 in the NCAA D-III West Region, the Comets have won their first team meets of the fall and are poised to make a run at their fourth straight ASC title in October. The UTD men dominated the season-opening Nicole Leman Invitational, hosted by LeTourneau on Sep. 4, by placing four runners in the top 10. The Comets then claimed the team title of the East Texas Shootout, this past Friday night hosted by Texas A&M-Commerce, with three finishers among the top five.

The Comets return to action Saturday morning for the Rhodes College Invitational in Memphis. The 2021 ASC Championships are slated for Saturday, Oct. 30, with the NCAA D-III West Region Championship schedule for Saturday, Nov. 13.
