WACO, TX (09.15.21) - The No. 16-ranked UT Dallas men's golf team kicked off the fall portion of its schedule Wednesday with a tri-math with a pair of ASC opponents at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course.

The Comets joined host and No. 25-ranked Mary Hardin-Baylor as well as East Texas Baptist in the 18-hole event where all three teams entered one full team plus individuals. UMHB bested the field with a team score of 280 while ETBU finished at 294 and the Comets shot 297. UTD will square against with UMHB next Wednesday, Sep. 22, also at Cottonwood Creek.
Among the six Comets who comprised the team,
Advait Chutke was the top scorer with a one-under 71, tying for sixth individually among the 49 golfers.
Ryan Kropp and
Davis Archer tied for 18th at 75,
Jarrett Grinnel and
Davis Grindle tied for 22nd at 76 and
Andrew Chow tied for 27th at 78.
Playing as an individual, Comet
Jared Harvey tied for the low round of the day with a five-under 67. Harvey shared medalist honors with UMHB's Andrew Baucum. Harvey's 67 matched the second-lowest single-round total in UTD history.
