RICHARDSON, TX (04.11.22) - UT Dallas freshman right-hander Trevor McGrath has been named the ASC Baseball Pitcher of the Week, announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

A native of Kyle, McGrath tossed a one-hit shutout as the No. 13-ranked Comets cruised to an 18-0 win over Ozarks Saturday afternoon to close a three-game home sweep of the Eagles. The Lehman High School product struck out a career-high eight batters while recording his first collegiate shutout in the program's 10th-ever one-hit performance. He retired the Eagles in order in four innings and sat down a stretch of 11 consecutive hitters during the contest.

The Comets (23-6, 16-5 ASC) return to action later this week with a three-game ASC home series against Howard Payne, starting Thursday at the UTD Baseball Field.
