RESULTS
IRVING, Texas - The UT Dallas men's and women's cross country teams won both the men's and women's divisions at the University of Dallas XC Invitational.
The Comet men scored 20 points and placed finishers in every spot from number two to 15. They topped Southwestern Assemblies of God with 43 points and host Dallas at 84.
Junior
Graeme Maclean paced UTD with a 5K time of 16:54.6 to finish second, followed by
Devan Bailey in third in 16:56.5. Sophomore
Matthew Chimitt shaved more than a minute off his collegiate best, placing fourth in 17:08.4. Senior
Griffin Davis took fifth in 17:08.8 and freshman
Javion Zavala was sixth in 17:19.8 to round out the UTD scoring.

The Comet women topped SAGU 21-38 as they were the only two schools with full squads. UT Dallas had six of the top eight finishers.
Freshman
Rebeca Betanzo was the top runner for UTD for the second consecutive week, placing second in 20:53.3 on the 5K course. Sophomore Madilyn Herrera was third in 22:23.0, followed by freshmen
Abby Valdez in fourth at 22:59.8 and freshman
Avery Grossman with a mark of 23:03.8 in fifth. Junior
Jocelyn Heckenkamp was seventh in 23:39.6.
The Comets will be off until September 30 when they will compete at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival in Fayetteville, Ark.
