RICHARDSON, Texas - UT Dallas graduate student guard Kyle Poerschke was named the American Southwest Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week Tuesday, his third such honor this season.

He averaged 18.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game as the Comets won a pair of home contests to remain atop of the ASC standings. In Saturday's 90-73 win over Hardin-Simmons, he recorded 12 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals. Poerschke followed with his first double-double at UTD with 25 points, 11 boards and six assists in Monday's 105-79 victory against McMurry. He also shot 52.2 percent from the field (12-of-23).

Poerschke and the Comets will battle Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
