RICHARDSON, Texas - UT Dallas men's basketball player
Kyle Poerschke was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 10 First Team and the D3hoops.com All-Region 10 Second Team on Tuesday.
Poerschke, a graduate student guard from Houston, ranked sixth in the American Southwest Conference with 18.8 points per game, 11th in rebounds with 5.9 per contest and 10th with a 51.4 field goal percentage. He also recorded 47 assists, 39 steals and seven blocks while hitting 51 three-pointers. Poerschke broke the school record with 43 points in a game at LeTourneau on January 14.
He was also ASC Newcomer of the Year and an All-ASC First Team selection. Poerschke will play in the NABC - Reese's Division III College All-Star Game on Saturday, March 18 at 11 a.m. CT in Fort Wayne, Ind.
