RICHARDSON, Texas - The #13/15 UT Dallas men's golf team recorded a runner-up finish at the Texas Cup at Sherrill Park Golf Course on Monday.

The Comets shot a 295-309=604 (+28), finishing just one stroke behind Concordia Texas (+27). They were followed by #10/11 LeTourneau (+30) and the UT Dallas B team was third with a 309-301=610 (+34) in the 14-team field.

The Comets have placed second in four of their six tournaments this season, including the last three.

Daniel Shofner paced UTD with a 70-79=149 (+5), tying for sixth place. Andrew Chow, who shot a 77-75=152 (+8) and Tyler Durden, who shot a 74-78=152 (+8), were tied for 13th.

For the B team, Hudson Hicks was tied for 10th with a 74-77=151 (+7) and Jarrett Grinnel tied for 13th with a 77-75=152 (+8). Davis Archer, finished with a 79-74=153 (+9) to tie for 19th. Archer had the low round of the day for the Comets.

UTD will be back in action on April 3-4 at the DBU Classic in Denton, Texas.
