RICHARDSON, Texas - UT Dallas sophomore Sage Herrera was named the American Southwest Conference Track Athlete of the Week for her performance at the David Noble Relay on Friday.

Herrera, from Fort Worth, Texas, finished fifth in the afternoon 800 meter run with a time of 2:23.54. She broke her own school record by 4.59 seconds and ranks 23rd in the West Region in the event.

The Comets will compete again on Saturday at the War Hawk Classic in Abilene, Texas.
