ABILENE, Texas - The UT Dallas track & field teams won one event and broke another school record Saturday at the War Hawk Classic hosted by McMurry at Wilfred Moore Stadium.
Sophomore
Rebeca Betanzo was the first place finisher in the 5,000 meters with a time of 20:41.78.
Sage Herrera took second place with a time of 5:01.05 in the 1,500 meters and finished eighth in 2:24.77 in the 800 meters.
Chisom Mbah improved upon her school shot put record by a foot and eight inches with a throw of 10.11 meters (33 ft.-2 in.), placing 13th.
For the men,
Nathaniel Brim was sixth in 2:00.38 in the 800 meters and Chrstopher Castro was sixth in the 1,500 meters in 4:14.80.
Devan Bailey was eighth in the 1,500 as well.
Dami Oyadiran had a long jump of 6.41 meters (21 ft.-.5 in.) for a 10th place finish.
Rafe Premo was 11th in the 400 meter dash, running a season-best time of 50.66 seconds.
Women's Notes

Tia Billingsly was 15th with a 100 meter dash time of 13.11 seconds and 12th with a 27.21 time in the 200.
- Mbah was also 17th with a discus throw of 29.97 meters (98 ft.-4 in.).

Hanna Chellali cleared 1.25 meters (4 ft.-1.25 in.) in the high jump, placing 11th.

Hannah Edwards had a long jump of 4.36 meters (14 ft.-3.75 in.) to finish 14th.
Men's Notes
