ROCKWALL, Texas - The UT Dallas men's golf team wrapped up the fall portion of the 2024-25 schedule by tying for third at the DBU Classic at Rockwall Golf & Athletic Club Tuesday.

Playing in a 12-team field that featured four top 25 teams and two more receiving votes, the Comets shot a 298-295-307=900 (+36). Central Oklahoma, ranked #8 in the nation, won the tournament with a +14, followed by UT Tyler (+32), UTD and #13 Henderson State (+36).

Graduate student Parker McCurdy tied for eighth with a 72-71-77=220 for a +4. He sank 11 birdies during the three rounds and finished six shots behind the winner. Senior Andrew Chow tied for 17th with a 75-73-77=225 (+9) and eight birdies. 

Graduate student Daniel Shofner had the best third round for UTD, ending the tournament with a +12, 75-77-76=228 with seven birdies and tying for 26th. Reese Tortone tied for 40th overall and Tyler Durden tied for 51st.
