RICHARDSON, Texas - The #16 UT Dallas men's golf team defeated LeTourneau 6-0 in stroke match play in the finals of the Lidlifter Tuesday at Sherrill Park. 

Senior Daniel Shofner edged out Logan Moore by one stroke with -4, 68 on the day. Shofner sunk six birdies in the round. Junior Andrew Chow won his matchup by three with a -3, 69 and Parker McCurdy was a six-stroke winner with a 71 (-1). Senior Jim Hayden was the biggest winner of the day, shooting an even par for a nine-stroke advantage.

Cole Wiley was the top finisher among the individuals, shooting a two-day score of 73-70=143 (-1). Freshman Hunter Wolfinger was just behind at 70-74=144 (E). Wolfinger recorded nine total birdies and an eagle.

Shofner and Wiley were selected to the All-Tournament Team. McCurdy made his fourth eagle of the season, tying the school record.

The Comets will host the Texas Cup March 18-19 in Desoto.
