Nico Fernandez were selected to the 2024 Academic All-District® Baseball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, Tuesday.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must carry a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. The CSC Academic All-America Team will be announced on July 2.
Landry, a first baseman from Dallas, led the Comets with a .363 average. He recorded 57 hits, 40 runs, 11 doubles, three home runs, 34 RBI, six sacrifice flies and three steals. Landry also had a .992 fielding percentage and was an All-American Southwest Conference Honorable Mention. He was a CSC Academic All-District selection for Haverford College in 2023. Landry is pursuing his Master's in Mathematics.
Collins, right-handed starter from Fairview, Texas, was 4-3 with a 4.55 earned run average and 47 strikeouts over 65.1 innings. He was an All-ASC Honorable Mention. Collins is majoring in Healthcare Studies.
Fernandez, a catcher from Cypress, Texas, hit .321 with 36 hits, 24 runs, 12 doubles, two triples, 1 home run, 17 RBI and 23 walks. He earned All-ASC Third Team honors. Fernandez is majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
