TYLER, Texas - Eight UT Dallas baseball players were honored as part of the 2026 Lone Star Conference postseason awards, the league announced Wednesday night.
The Comets completed its first year in the LSC by going 33-17 and finishing in fourth place. UTD led all teams with three players on the All-Defensive Team.

Benavidez, a junior outfielder from Bryan, Texas, led UTD with a .418 average, recording 66 hits, 42 runs, 15 doubles, 10 home runs, 49 RBI, 35 walks and three stolen bases.
Kinnison, a sophomore designated hitter from San Antonio, Texas, hit .358 on 58 hits, 44 runs, 12 doubles, six home runs, 54 RBI, 24 walks and five stolen bases. He also led the league with a school record 13 sacrifice flies.
Fernandez, a senior catcher from Cypress, Texas, hit .360 with 64 hits, 50 runs scored, 13 doubles, three triples, seven home runs, 54 RBI, 39 walks and five stolen bases. He also threw out 13 runners trying to steal, for a rate of 20.6 percent.
McCown, a senior outfielder from Wylie, Texas, led the LSC with 16 home runs in the regular season. He also hit .345 on 59 hits, 51 runs, 14 doubles, 59 RBI, 29 walks and a .708 slugging percentage.
Taylor, a junior starting pitcher from Austin, Texas, went 5-2 with a 5.34 earned run average and 51 strikeouts over 59 innings. He limited opponents to a .253 batting average.
Garza, a graduate student second baseman from Santa Fe, Texas, hit .369 with 55 hits, 56 runs, five doubles, two triples, 16 RBI, 27 walks and 27 stolen bases. He was perfect in the field on 154 chances and turned 23 double plays.
Amoroso, a junior shortstop from Austin, Texas, hit .335 with 63 hits, 43 runs, 13 doubles, one triple, one home run, 30 RBI, 23 walks, five sacrifice bunts and seven stolen bases. He posted a .973 fielding percentage at shortstop.
Pacot, a graduate student relief pitcher from Rockwall, Texas, led the LSC with eight saves in the regular season. He recorded a 3.55 earned run average, with a 2-3 record and 37 strikeouts over 33 innings. He held opposing batters to a .195 batting average.
