RICHARDSON, Texas - UT Dallas junior right fielder Trent McCown was named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week on Wednesday. The team honored the best performances over the first three weeks of the season.
McCown, from Wylie, Texas, made a big impact in his first series as a Comet, blasting four home runs with 10 RBI in a three-game sweep of Dallas. He hit .667 (6-for-9) with nine runs scored and five walks for a 2.00 slugging percentage and .625 on-base rate. McCown hit a home run in each game, including two in a 20-7, seven-inning victory over the Crusaders.
The Comets will be back in action on Saturday at 2 p.m. against Hardin-Simmons at the UTD Baseball Field.
