ROCKWALL, Texas - The UT Dallas men's golf club has an 18 stroke lead headed after the first two rounds of the Texas Cup at Buffalo Creek Country Club Monday.
Additionally, Comet senior
Tyler Durden leads the player field with a +1 72-71=143.
UTD shot a 296-293=589 (+21), ahead of LeTourneau (607/+39), the UT Dallas B Team (612/+44), Dallas (620/+52) and East Texas Baptist (638/+70).
Graduate student
Parker McCurdy is tied for second, four shots behind Durden, with a 74-73=147 (+5). Sophomore
Reese Tortone is fourth with a 75-74=149 (+7).
Andrew Chow and
Hunter Wolfinger, representing the B Team, are tied for fifth with a +8 and
Jarrett Grinnell is tied for seventh at +9.
Durden leads the Comets with seven birdies through the first two rounds. Wolfinger, Chow,
Daniel Shofner and
Davis Archer each made six.
The final round will tee-off at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
