RICHARDSON, Texas - UT Dallas senior forward Chelsea Vilca was selected as the Lone Star Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Vilca, from Hickory Creek, Texas, recorded seven points on three goals as the Comets opened the season 1-0-1. In Thursday's season-opening 5-0 home victory over Oklahoma Baptist, she scored the first two goals of the game only 1:05 apart in the 22nd and 23rd minutes. The time between goals was the fourth-fastest by a single player in program history. Vilca went on to assist the third goal of the game in the 36th minute. She tied the game 1-1 in the 55th minute in Saturday's draw at Rogers State for UTD's only goal.

The Comets will travel to Western Colorado in Gunnison for an 8 p.m. CT match Friday night.
