SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The UT Dallas women's golf team finished eighth at the Rattler Invitational at The Dominion Country Club on Tuesday.
The field of 17 teams included five in the top 30, and the Comets shot a 302-315-314 (+67), just behind #24 Arkansas Tech (+56/920), Angelo State (+56/92) and Texas A&M International (+62/926).
Freshman
Camilah Porras paced UTD with a 76-78-74=228 (+12), tying for 16th. Sophomore
Brooke Yount tied for 18th at a 72-76-81=229 (+13) and sophomore
Carla van Remmen tied for 37th with a 77-78-79=234 (+18).
Syrah Javed rounded out the scoring at 77-83-80=240 (+24).
Yount sank seven birdies and an eagle - on a par-5, 422-yard hole in the second round. She added to her school single-season record and tied All-American Karen Alvarez with three eagles in a career.
van Remmen also made seven birdies in the tournament, while Porras and Javed had three.Â

UTD will return to the course on March 9 at the Arkansas Collegiate in El Dorado, Ark.
