NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas - The UT Dallas women's golf team kicked off the spring season at the Texas State Invitational at Landa Park Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday.
In a field of Division I and top Division II programs, the Comets finished 13th out of 15 teams. They shot a 323-307-311=941 (+77), finishing ahead of Prairie View A&M and Stephen F. Austin and just behind Loyola-Chicago.
Sophomore
Brooke Yount was the top finisher for UTD, placing 39th. She shot an 80-77-74=231 (+15) with nine birdies. Freshman
Camilah Porras had three birdies and an eagle on an 81-84-78-233 (+17), tying for 46th. Sophomore
Syrah Javed tied for 63rd with a 77-83-79=239 (+23) and three birdies.
Carla van Remmen shot an 85-77-80=242 (+26), tying for 68th.
Results
The Comets will return to play on Monday, February 23 at the Rattler Invitational in San Antonio, Texas.
