Danielle Oyakhire received All-Lone Star Conference honors, the league announced Wednesday.
Otsuka, from Tokyo, Japan, was selected to the All-LSC First Team. She led the Comets in scoring with 15.4 points per game. She shot 42 percent from the field, 32.5 percent from three-point range and 82.3 percent from the free throw line. She also recorded 83 rebounds, 78 assists, 30 steals and 11 blocks. Otsuka ranked sixth in the league in scoring, third in free throw percentage and seventh in assists per game.
Oyakhire, from Tomball, Texas, was selected to the All-Freshman Team. She averaged 9.1 points and 7.0 rebounds per game with 16 assists, 21 steals and 34 blocked shots. Oyakhire shot 50.8 percent from the field and 70.3 percent at the line. She ranked fifth in the LSC in blocks per game and eighth in rebound average.
The Comets completed their first season in the Lone Star with a 10-10 league record, tying for eighth place.
