SHERMAN & RICHARDSON, TX (03.07.09) – The UT Dallas women's tennis team missed out on a chance for back-to-back wins with a 4-5 loss at Austin College on March 5, but got back on the winning track March 7 with an ASC East Division win over LeTourneau.

The Comets, who won their first match of the spring on Feb. 28 with a win over Millsaps College (MS), dropped a close No. 1 doubles match 8-5, against Austin College. UTD also had losses in four of the five singles matches. Katelyn Kent and Susan Heston teamed up for an 8-0 win in No. 2 doubles, and Florence Corteza and Nacona Davis held off their AC opponents, 8-5, in the No. 3 doubles.

The bottom of the lineup and UTD's doubles teams came up big against LeTourneau. UTD got singles wins from Heston, Corteza and Foster, then won the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles matches for a 5-4 win.
