RICHARDSON, TX (05.08.13) - UT Dallas junior Casey Johnson has been chosen to participate as a individual at the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis National Championships, held on May 23-25 in Kalamazoo, Mich.

Johnson, a native of Plano, was one of 32 singles players invited to compete at the national championships and one of just three student-athletes from the American Southwest Conference selected. Johnson was 11-0 in singles during the season and was named the Most Valuable Player at the ASC Tournament. She is in her first season with the Comets after transferring from Stephen F. Austin last fall.

The draw for the individual championship will be done by the NCAA D-III Women's Tennis Committee and will be released on the last day of the team championship (May 22).

The Comets as a team begin their run for the team championship Friday with a first-round contest with California-Santa Cruz in Claremont, Calif.
