RICHARDSON, TX (01.17.22) - UT Dallas sophomore guard Jordan Maxwell has been named the ASC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

A native of El Paso, Maxwell scored 15 points while adding eight steals and six assists Saturday afternoon as she lifted the No. 24-ranked Comets to an 80-47 ASC home win over Ozarks in the squad's first contest of 2022. The Montwood High School product was 4-for-7 from the field and 6-8 from the line, adding one blocked shot and a rebound in the lop-sided victory. Maxwell's eight steals were one shy of the UTD single-game record.

The Comets return to action Thursday with a 5:30 p.m. ASC road game at Sul Ross State in Alpine.
