BALTIMORE - UT Dallas will open the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship Tournament at the Baltimore Regional hosted by Johns Hopkins University Friday. 

The Comets (10-5) will face Albright (18-2), the automatic qualifier from the Middle Atlantic Conference. The winner will face #9 Washington & Lee (20-1) in the Second Round on Saturday. Host #7 Johns Hopkins (21-4) will face #10 Williams (14-5) in the other Second Round match-up Saturday. The Third Round match will be on Sunday.

This is the fourth-straight trip and sixth all-time NCAA Tournament appearance for the Comets. They are 3-5 in the previous five trips. Last season, UTD defeated #29 Whitman 5-2 before being eliminated in the Second Round by #2 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 5-1 at home.

UTD claimed its spot in the national tournament as the automatic berth from the ASC, claiming the league title for the sixth time in program history. The Comets also won the ASC title in 2013, 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
