RICHARDSON, TX (03.28.09) – The UT Dallas women's tennis team is still in the hunt for an American Southwest Conference post-season berth despite a home conference loss to Mississippi College Saturday.

UTD fell to MC, 6-3; but can still make the post-season ASC Championship Tournament with wins over the University of the Ozarks and Louisiana College later this spring. The Comets also dropped a non-conference dual match earlier in the week to Birmingham Southern, 9-0.

Despite being shutout in a number of their dual matches this spring, the UTD women made a good showing against Mississippi College. No. 1 seed Sylvia Brownfield, No. 3 seed Savannah Matlock and No. 5 seed Florenza Corteza all won their singles mateches.
