JARED SMITH earned Third Team All-American and First Team All-Region honors from D3baseball.com in 2009. He was All-American Southwest Conference East Division selection twice. Smith started 83 games, notching Comet career records of a .785 slugging percentage and 36 home runs. He also recorded 115 hits, 25 doubles, 118 RBI and 104 runs scored. As a senior, he set school season records with an .821 slugging percentage, 71 RBI and 23 home runs. Smith graduated with a BA in Public Affairs in 2009.
