UT DALLAS ATHLETICS HALL OF HONORS
NATALIE TAYLOR CRITTENDEN
Women's Soccer 2002 - 2005
NATALIE TAYLOR CRITTENDEN was one of the most prolific players in UT Dallas women’s soccer history, playing on two American Southwest Conference championship teams and penning her name throughout UTD record books in the process.
Taylor won All-Region recognition from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) twice during her four-year career and was the ASC Offensive Player of the Year in 2004 while also winning All-Conference honors.
Between 2002-2005, Taylor and the Comets were 60-14-8 overall and lost just four conference games (43-4-5). As a freshman, Taylor was part of the Comets team that won the ASC title and advanced to the “Sweet 16” round of the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament. In 2004, UTD shared an ASC title with Hardin-Simmons after a double-overtime tie in the championship game, but lost the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament in a penalty-kick shootout.
Taylor is among the school’s alltime leaders in a number of career offensive categories. She finished her career among the Top 3 in goals scored (51), assists (20) and total points (122). She leads the program all-time with 168 shots on goal, scoring 51 times.
A native of Midland, Texas, Taylor credits the combination of a strong athletic and academic program as her reason for choosing to attend UT Dallas. Earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2006, she has worked locally in the financial field with two local companies and is currently an accountant with Turbochef . Taylor and her husband have two young boys, and live in Carrollton, where she still serves as a coach on her four-year old’s soccer team.
