UT DALLAS ATHLETICS HALL OF HONORS
LYNDSEY SMITH is the most-decorated women's basketball player in Comet history and becomes just the second member of the program to be inducted, joining Chelsea Edwards (2016).
The Comets' all-time leading scorer with 1,395 career points, Smith also left the program as the top rebounder as well, but has since dropped to second on the career list with 498 boards in her four seasons. She still ranks atop the all-time lists in three-point field goals (191), games played (105) and games started (102), while ranking third in assists (262) and steals (175) and fourth in points per game (13.1).
As a junior, she set the UTD and ASC record for three-pointers in a game with 10, a record that still stands today. During her tenure, the Comets posted an 81-25 overall record while leading the squad to four straight ASC Tournament appearances. She was a two-time All-ASC East selection while at UTD, earning a spot on the prestigious All-ASC squad as a senior. She was also named first team all-region by D3hoops.com in 2012 and was later tabbed honorable mention All-America. Smith closed out her playing career earning ASC Player of the Week a school-record seven times and was tabbed the UTD Co-Female Student-Athlete of the Year in 2012.
Smith earned her bachelor's degree in Business Administration from UTD in 2011 and collected her MBA and Master's in Marketing in 2013.
