KELLI JACKSON DAVIS
Women's Soccer 2007-2011
KELLI JACKSON DAVIS made a lasting impression on the UT Dallas women's soccer program from the first day she stepped on to the field in 2004. By the end of her first collegiate season, Jackson was named the American Southwest Conference Defensive Freshman of the Year, then followed that up by earning the ASC's overall Defensive Player of the Year Award each of the next three seasons.
By the end of her four-year career, Jackson was a four-time First Team All-ASC selection and had been recognized twice on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Region team.
Jackson was the anchor on a UT Dallas defense that put together a remarkable run during her career. While compiling an impressive overall record of 57-15-8 between 2004 and 2007, Davis and the Comet back line posted shutouts in an unprecedented 53 games. Almost as noteworthy is the fact that Jackson scored nine goals and had nine assists from a position that rarely is involved in the offense.
During her career, Davis and the Comets played in three consecutive ASC championship games, earning a co-championship in 2004 after tying Hardin-Simmons in the final game. The team took HSU to double overtime in the title game again in 2005 before falling, 2-1.
Jackson was a youth and high school soccer standout in Tulsa, Oklahoma and had received some attention from Division I and Division II schools before breaking a leg at a critical time in the recruiting season After visiting campus, she chose UTD because of the opportunity to start and play all four years of her collegiate career.
Jackson earned a Bacholor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from UTD in 2008 and eventually returned to campus to work four years as an Administrative Assistant in the Athletic Department. She is currently enrolled at the Texas Woman's University College of Nursing, expecting to begin her nursing career in December 2015.
