ZAC LINDLEY
(Men’s Soccer 2004, 2006-2007)
ZAC LINDLEYhas been called one of the most talented soccer players ever to play for UT Dallas by longtime men’s soccer coach Jack Peel. During three seasons with the Comets, Lindley was a key defender on UTD’s two American Southwest Championship teams in 2004 and 2007.
Lindley earned ASC All-Conference honors all three seasons, including first-team selections in 2004 and 2007. He was a second-team National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Region selection in both 2006 and 2007.
Primarily a defensive player, Lindley was part of a UTD squad that recorded 23 shutouts during his three-year career, allowing just over one goal per game. He was one of the most utilized players in UTD men’s soccer history, ranking in the Top 10 with 4,102 minutes played and 55 games started.
Lindley was an all-state player at Owasso (Oklahoma) High School and played a season at Benedictine College in Kansas. When he began looking for a school with both an excellent computer science and soccer program, he chose UT Dallas. Lindley earned a degree in Business Administration in 2008 and has worked in various business before taking his current position as a Field Property Examiner with the Catastrophe Claims Department with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.
