KYLE SCHLEIGH was the UTD Male Student-Athlete of the Year in both 2013 and 2014 and was the ASC Male Athlete of the Year for the 2013-14 season. He was a two-time All-America selection by both the National Association of Basketball Coaches and D3hoops.com. Schleigh was also a two-time First Team All-Region pick by both organizations and a three-time All-ASC First Team honoree. He was the ASC Player of the Year in 2014, the East Division Player of the Year and East Division Defensive Player of the Year in 2013 and the East Division Freshman of the Year in 2011. A three-time Academic All-ASC selection, Schleigh was also an ASC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete in 2013 and CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree twice. He was a 13-time ASC Player of the Week, including seven times during his junior campaign. Schleigh played in 113 games and is the school's career record holder with 1,771 points, 589 field goals made, 443 free throws made, 890 rebounds, 7.9 rebounds per game, 194 steals and 125 blocked shots. He also ranks second with 15.7 points per game and is third with 330 assists. Schleigh led the Comets to a 90-23 record over four seasons and won the ASC title in 2014 and a trip to the NCAA Division III Championship Sweet 16 with a school record 27 wins. He is the third men's basketball player to be enshrined into the Hall of Honors. Schleigh graduated in 2014 with a BS in Accounting and 2015 with Masters in Accounting.
